The Year of China

Yesterday Mark and I celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary (China), also we are celebrating our 20th year as partners also China, looks like we are well and truly living through the year of crockery love!

We went for a walk along Town Beach and made some great foot prints, also found some lovely shells and a mermaids necklace and captured each other enjoying the day.
"To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part. And hereto I pledge you my faithfulness."

Catch Up Post 1 - Earth Hour

A late update on Earth Hour 2009 at the Bolton’s, we participated in our house along with 6 extra adolescents; Friends of Darcy’s who had come over for a movie night. Lisette was outraged that Television and DVD remained in use during Earth Hour, all the lights got turned off of course.
Mark, Lisette and I spent the hour in the garden with Candles and conversation, most of which revolved around the “Eco Princesses” disappointment that “none of those big people in there (Darcy and his friends) care enough about our planet to just give up the TV for one hour"
We had a lovely time and the following day while reading the local rag I discovered that you only had to turn your lights off, I laughed out loud.

Groote Da’ Groote

Lewis will be returning to Wagga Wagga in the next few weeks to complete his schooling at The Riverina Anglican College. He will live with his Nana and is very excited about the prospect of returning to his friends and old school.
As a result of this Mark felt he would like to give him a Top End Experience and took him on a recent trip to Groote Eylandt. They flew by light aircraft and stayed at Andrew Ettinghausen’s Resort “The Dugong” in the Executive Suite no less.
By all reports the trip was fabulous, he certainly came back with a huge smile on his face. Checkout that pool, how inviting does it look and safe too, not a Croc in sight!
These pictures were taken from seven seater light aircraft........how beautiful is the view just stunning the sea is the most amazing colour its not green and it's not blue its blureen halfway between the two.

……on the return trip to Nhulunbuy Lewis got to sit in the co-pilots seat, a big buzz for him even at 16 and a half. You can just see the tip of Lewis' shoulder on the right of the picture.
